Studio Tips

When recording with Pro Tools, bringing your own FireWire drive is recommended. This will speed up backup time. You can bring blank dvd-r or cds but it is much quicker to back up to hard drive.

Sessions begin at the time you schedule them.  This does not includes set up time when you arrive at the studio. Much of the engineering work begins as you start setting up (setting up mics and, "Where do the drums go?) It takes time to prepare and set up so we don't charge for it, this is one of the many benefits you will recieve when using our studio.

The Day Before The Session
Drums are tuned different for the studio than live performance so we prefer to have your drummer come in the day before and set up his set and get the mics set. This saves a lot of time in the studio. When the drummer leaves, the board, mics, and drum kit are set and ready for the session the next day.
